Irresistible Me Hair Extensions Review

Review of the Royal Remy Clip-in Style, Royal Jet Black, 18″ Irresistible Me Hair Extensions*

I seem to have really stubborn hair that doesn’t like to grow quickly enough for my liking, or it’s very likely I’m just totally impatient. For those who have stubborn hair not unlike my own, the Irresistible Me Hair Extensions* are definitely worth it to be able to change your hair and create different styles.

My hair has this thing where it stops growing at a certain point which is usually just passed my shoulders. Once it gets to that point, it’s almost as if it stops growing and let me tell you, it takes ages to get that long in the first place.

I personally love having long hair because I can style it so many different ways and not get bored, because I do get bored very easily with my hair and I get the urge to change it – whether it be the colour, the length or the style.

I got the Royal Remy Style clip-in hair extensions in Royal Jet Black, 18″ length and 200 grams. I have jet black hair, so the colour I knew wouldn’t be an issue with attempting to blend it. The length was pretty long, much longer than my actual hair but it still blended perfectly and looked 100% natural. I was so impressed with how natural these extensions looked with my own hair – I honestly couldn’t believe it.

This is actually a horrible angle and I apologize.

This set includes: 200 g sets (10 pieces) – 1 pc of 4 clips (7.5″), 2 pcs of 3 clips (6″), 5 pcs of 2 clips (4″), 2 pcs of 1 clip (1.2″).

I use the extensions for not only length but for volume as well so the 200 g set is perfect for that. I didn’t have any issues with these extensions at all, and I still don’t. The clips are very sturdy and the hair did shed a little bit, but it’s to be expected. I found that they’re also very heavy, but that’s also to be expected. Keep in mind, the more wefts you use – the heavier it will be. The less you’ll be able to flip your hair, I can’t when I’m wearing them.

These extensions are real human hair so you are able to straighten, curl, cut and colour them just as you would your own hair. Only wash them when you notice them start to become oily as they will pick up the oil from your own hair. It’s not necessary to wash them after every use. Before you wash them, make sure you remove any tangles only using a wide tooth come and a gentle hand. When washing them, wash them in lukewarm water (separately), using a shampoo for chemically treated hair and apply it in a downward motion. Use conditioner as you would your own hair.

The best tip for keeping these extensions in good condition is to treat them as you would your own hair. Don’t heat style without heat protection, don’t wring/scrub/rub when washing, don’t wash them daily, and pat them dry as opposed to rubbing them with a towel. Extensions are very expensive, and if you want to keep them in good shape, you have to take care of them.

The Irresistible Me Hair Extensions* are definitely worth the cost if you’re looking at purchasing or replacing hair extensions. I had been looking at it for quite a while and I was very happy when they approached me to review them and I’m very very happy with the quality of the product, and how beautifully they blended and looked with my natural hair.

Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo

Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo

I believe I have discovered a NEW (to me, anyways) dry shampoo that definitely ranks as one of my favourites. I bought the Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo a while back in the states (in my haul blog) and I LOVE it. It is definitely one of my favourite dry shampoo’s that I have discovered.

I was on a mission for a good amount of time to find a dry shampoo that I loved – and wrote a blog about it here. At the time that I wrote the blog, Batiste Dry Shampoo was one of the best one’s that I had tried (the same one Harry Styles uses – just in case you needed to know!). I have since found this dry shampoo which could possibly give Batiste a run for their money!

There are 3 things that attracted me to this product.

1. The package design. I am a marketers dream and my own worst nightmare – the fresh and bright packaging is always the first thing that draws a consumer’s attention.
2. The price. I pay at least $10 for Batiste and paid $4.75 for Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry shampoo
3. The amount of product you get FOR the price. Obviously I noticed the size of the product before the price, but seeing the price after seeing the size of product…I think it blew my mind.

I tend to use this product a lot and I find that I go through it pretty fast and $10 for not a lot of product kind of sucks, actually.

I had never used a Not Your Mother’s product before I had purchased this product, so I didn’t know what I could expect as I had no previous experience with it.

First Impression:

  • Batiste instantly shows up white on your hair, and I have jet black/blue black hair. Not Your Mother’s did not appear to do this BUT it still worked!
  • It did not leave my hair sticky or dirty feeling, like I found most dry shampoos to do (generally if they’re claiming volume).
  • I found that I used less product and I have been on the same can since I bought back in May!
I actually really love this product and have opted for this one over my Batiste (which has actually never happened!) for the last 3 months. I love the price, I love the product size, I love the product. I love the design.
I definitely recommend this product to anyone who uses dry shampoo, I don’t have to leave the house wondering if I have any white patches in my hair that I may have accidentally left…oops!

This is definitely a favourite for me!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day! :)

Good morning lovelies :)

I hope everyone is having a good morning so far!

I went to the states last week to do a little shopping and believe it or not, if I hadn’t taken pictures for this blog..I wouldn’t be able to remember what I bought! LOL

I picked up the Not Your Mothers brand dry shampoo to give it a try and the Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray because I was curious and wanted to give it a try! I think by now you all know that I have a thing for dry shampoos..I have to try all of them! I have so far only stuck with Batiste, it’s my favourite and I haven’t found one that’s better. So maybe this one will be a winner! I am going to be doing a fair bit of travelling this year and spending a lot of time at the beach and the sea salt spray is an easy way to tame my hair and make it cute when I’m in a rush.

As for Olay, I’m really not usually an Olay buyer..I haven’t bought one of their products in ages but I am a marketer’s dream (and my own worst enemy!) because the package is what sold me. It’s so cute and I have crazy oily skin so I wanted to see how this worked, what it felt like and if it actually reduced the oiliness in my skin..even though I know my oily skin is caused by internal issues.

As for the foundation, I am constantly trying to find that amazing foundation for my skin and sadly this one definitely wasn’t it. I have crazy oily skin a few hours after I apply foundation and the finish of this foundation does not suit my skin type at all. I will be sticking to Revlon Colorstay for now! It’s my go to foundation and I do absolutely love it!

I went to see Taylor Swift last weekend at Ford Field and it was AMAZING! She did so fantastic and I got to see Ed Sheeran again. He is absolutely my favourite artist and he’s phenomenal live! I couldn’t have asked for a better night :)

Have a beautiful day everyone!!

Let me start off by saying that this stuff is….amazing! It is a godsend and I am so in love with it (as much as you can be in love with an inanimate object).

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque is definitely on the pricey side of the spectrum. It’s about $30 in the states for an 8.5 fl. oz jar. I had heard so many fantastic reviews about this product and on a trip to the states a while back I spotted it at Target and HAD to purchase it. It’s funny because I actually found it as a package, 2 jars for $32. Thanks Target!

I use this product once a week and it makes my hair feel incredibly silky and I have gotten so many comments about my hair looking healthier and shinier, which is great because I do tend to use a lot of heat styling with my hair! Macadamia Deep Repair masque has a very creamy, silky texture and smells absolutely amazing! I am so addicted to the scent of macadamia products…so amazing! Using it once a week, you don’t fly through the product. The first jar I bought at least 2 months ago and I’ve barely made a dent in it. It lasts!

I highly recommend this product for anyone who has dry hair or anyone who does a lot of heat styling. It really works wonders.

Hey all!

I received my May Topbox in the mail this morning and after the whole Glymm debacle, I was SO excited to get it since I didn’t receive my last Glymm box and I am not disappointed!

The first thing that I received in my Topbox was a full sized product – Cuccio Colour Nail Lacqeur. It’s a neutral shade and I love that because I really don’t have many. I’m really excited to try this product out. Full Size: $10.

I also received a sample of Lise Watier Haute Couleur High Coverage Lip Lacqeur in colour 343 Stylista and it’s a really beautiful pink colour. The sample size was 1.5 mL and the full size is 6 mL and is $23.

The next product was a shadow refill from the Yaby cosmetics line and Copper Wire. I swatched this eye shadow and the first thing I noticed was the texture – it was super silky, not grainy. The colour payoff is awesome, it’s highly pigmented and just looks beautiful. I apologize for the poor focus! -.-

The last product I received was the Roberto Cavalli Shower gel and it smells AMAZING. The sample size is 1.0 fl oz. and the full size is $80.

This ambery floral fragrance illuminates with pink peppercorn, orange flower absolute and roasted tonka beans.

I am pretty happy with the box that I received this month and can’t wait to try everything out!

I hope you all loved your boxes this month.

Have a beautiful day lovelies!
